I divorced in Alexandria, Virginia and had a GAL for my son in court. I signed a document that gave my ex our home in exchange for $85K at my son's legal age of 18 which was 2yrs ago. the document I signed was not given to me. My lawyer died after 7 days after representing me. I've gone to the Clerk of the Courts and the paperwork is not there but my ex took my name of the home deed/title and now it's his. I want my $85K where should I look for the document? Can I get it legally from the ex's lawyer?
