I purchased a second condo in the same subdivision as a prior one. I was presented with a bill for 510.00 by the management company and a bill for 171.00 as their fee for collecting. I asked where in the bilaws was an initiation fee listed? the Management company referred me to a section and paragraph of the bilaws that only talked about assessment dues, nothing about a mandatory initiation fees. can the association legally collect an initiation fee that is not seemingly covered in the bilaws? Also, am I legally obligated to pay their tacked on fee?
