Question

Missouri- I have sole legal custody of my son that was filed with the courts in 2010. My sons father and I have recently reunited, not married though. Can I cancel the custody order or do we have to hire a lawyer ?

Answer

You can geta Motion to Modify the Custody Order through an attorney. But, based upon the facts you described, there may be no need to get the Order Modified. As long as each of you is getting at least the number of visitation hours called for, there is no one to complain. But, if there was allegations of mistreatment that caused the Court to Grant everything to you, you might get in trouble for having the father live with the child.

Good luck

Answer

It depends upon the language of the dissollution
